National Clean Fleets Partnership
About the Program
Clean Cities coalitions nationwide will be working with large private fleets to reduce their petroleum use. The new National Clean Fleets Partnership provides fleets with access to specialized resources, expertise, and support to adopt alternative fuels, vehicles, and fuel saving measures (anti-idling, etc.) into their ongoing operations. For more information about the program, please visit: http://www1.eere.energy.gov/cleancities/national_partnership.html
How to Become a National Clean Fleets Partner
The National Clean Fleets Partnership is open to fleets who own or have contractual control over at least 50% of their vehicles and have vehicles operating in multiple states. To become a partner, a fleet must sign a partnership agreement and provide baseline data on its operations.
Once a fleet becomes a Clean Fleets Partner, a Clean Cities account manager works one-on-one with fleet representatives to create a customized strategy to reduce their petroleum use. The account manage will also assist the fleet with identifying Clean Cities coalitions in the fleet's operational area and connect the fleet with appropriate fuel providers and equipment manufacturers.
